Real Madrid are interested in signing 29-year-old defensive-midfielder Fabinho from Liverpool ahead of next season.

According to a report by Fichajes, Real Madrid are keen on signing Fabinho ahead of next season. Liverpool might be willing to sacrifice their defensive midfielder for the greater good of the club. Los Blancos have been interested in the 29-year-old in the past as well. And they might actually land the player this time.

Jurgen Klopp might be willing to sell one of his most important players to bring in the funds to push for the signature of Jude Bellingham. It is no secret that the Merseyside club want to sign the 19-year-old midfielder ahead of next season. They are willing to give it their all to sign him.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid might benefit from this as they will have a chance of landing one of their long-term targets. The arrival Brazilian defensive midfielder from Liverpool will be a big boost for Los Blancos.

Fabinho joined the Merseyside club back in the summer of 2018 from AS Monaco. He has been a key player in Klopp’s team ever since his arrival. The 29-year-old has featured in over 200 matches for the Reds. He has played an integral part in their success in the past few seasons.

In the ongoing season, the Brazilian international has played 32 matches. But, his impact has not been the same. Liverpool have struggled and they need a complete revamp in the centre of the park. Klopp is set to sacrifice his star player in order to start the revival process.

Meanwhile, Los Blancos are interested in his services. Fabinho was part of their youth team and he has played a match for the senior team. Carlo Ancelotti is interested in bringing him back to the club. His arrival will give them depth in the midfield. It will allow the Real Madrid manager to rotate Aurelien Tchouameni, who has had injury struggles of his own since arriving.

It is a complicated situation where a lot of things depend on whether Liverpool manage to strike a deal with Borussia Dortmund for Jude Bellingham. However, it will be interesting to see how things pan out and if Los Blancos manage to sign the 29-year-old.
