Liverpool have been heavily linked with a move for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham, a target for Real Madrid.

According to a report from GiveMeSport, Liverpool are determined to sign Jude Bellingham. The 19-year-old England international is also a target for Real Madrid. But Liverpool are prepared to throw everything at him.

Apparently, the Borussia Dortmund midfielder is valued at £130 million and it remains to be seen whether Liverpool can pay that kind of money for him. Chelsea recently shattered the British transfer record for Enzo Fernandez, and it is a given that the German club will want a similar fee if not more for Bellingham.

The 19-year-old is certainly a more proven talent compared to Fernandez and is likely to command a club-record fee from Liverpool. The Reds are in desperate need of midfield reinforcements, and the Reds are hopeful of landing Bellingham.

The England international is already a star for club and country and has the potential to develop into a future superstar. Liverpool will have to replace players like Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and James Milner at the end of the season.

While they have been linked with other midfielders as well, Bellingham remains the top priority, and it remains to be seen whether they can secure his services in the coming months. Ben Jacobs claims that Manchester City and Real Madrid are interested in signing the player as well but Liverpool believe that they are the front runners to secure his services.

Jacobs told GiveMeSport, “Jude Bellingham is there for Liverpool and they consider themselves to be one of the frontrunners. I don’t think we can rule out Manchester City more seriously entering the race over the coming weeks. They’re later to the process than Liverpool or Real Madrid, but those are the three main contenders. If Liverpool have their way, we know that Bellingham is a top target, so I do expect them to throw everything at it.”

There have been rumours that the player’s camp want him to move to Liverpool at the end of the season. But it remains to be seen whether Liverpool can secure Champions League football first. The Reds are currently in real danger of missing out on a top-four finish, and they will struggle to attract players like Bellingham without the lure of Champions League football.

The 19-year-old has proven himself in Germany, and it is no surprise that he is looking to take the next step in his career. A move to the Premier League could be the ideal option for him and working with world-class managers like Jurgen Klopp will only help him improve and fulfil his world-class potential.

Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group have been heavily criticised for their lack of spending in recent seasons. And time will tell whether they are prepared to back Klopp in the transfer market as far as the Bellingham transfer is concerned. But Real Madrid are financially superior and can afford to pay £130 million to sign Bellingham. So Liverpool might have an uphill task here.
