Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Evan Ndicka in a Bosman move ahead of next season.

According to a report by 90min, Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing 23-year-old French centre-back Evan Ndicka in the summer. Antonio Conte is desperate to sign a new defender ahead of next season and would love to have him at the club.

Ndicka’s contract at Eintracht Frankfurt ends in the summer. There are no talks about a possible extension at this point in time. And, the player is looking for a move to a bigger club. With his contract set to expire and amid his consistent performances, a lot of clubs are interested in his services.

The 23-year-old joined Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2018 from AJ Auxerre. He has proven himself at the club and has been regular in the past few seasons. Ndicka has made a total of 170 appearances for the German club and has 20 goal contributions to his name.

It has been a great season for the French defender. He has featured in a total of 31 matches in the ongoing season. The 23-year-old has not missed a single Bundesliga game. Frankfurt are currently sixth in the league with 38 points out of their 21 matches.

They can still finish in a Champions League spot with a late surge in the season. Ndicka has been one of the reasons they are still in the top-four race. And the player’s potential free-agent status has alerted Tottenham.

Spurs are looking for a central defender. Antonio Conte wants Ndicka to be their newest defensive addition. His arrival will solve multiple problems at once. They want a left-footed central defender who is dominant in the air.

Ndicka is a left-footed defender, and he is deadly in the air. The 23-year-old can also play as a left-back, which is a cherry on top. His arrival at the north London club will surely bolster the Tottenham defense. And, the fact that he will be a free transfer will make this move an absolute steal.

However, this won’t be a cakewalk for Spurs. They will face a lot of competition from elsewhere. Barcelona are one of the clubs that have been interested in Ndicka’s services for a while. The Catalan giants are also likely to push for him in the summer.
