Crystal Palace and West Ham United are keen on Bristol City midfielder Alex Scott, who could move to the Premier League in the summer.

According to The Sun, Alex Scott has plenty of interest from Premier League clubs ahead of the summer. The Bristol City midfielder is a key target for Crystal Palace and West Ham United, and many other interested parties did not want to meet his January valuations.

Bristol City were adamant over their valuations for Alex Scott in January, as they did not envisage losing the midfielder midway through the season. In the summer, their stance could change as they might open the doors for a big transfer move to the Premier League.

Scott did not have a shortage of interested clubs in January, but Bristol wanted around £25 million for the midfielder. Premier League clubs were keen but did not fancy paying what his club demanded in return. Some of those could return with an approach in the summer when things open up.

Tottenham were one of the sides interested in January. But, like many others, they decided to wait until the summer. Whether the north Londoners return with an approach remains the question, but London rivals Crystal Palace and West Ham United certainly can.

Bristol City could lower their valuation in the summer but may still want around £20 million to let the 19-year-old depart the club. Patrick Vieira was one of the managers who had set his sights on Scott. The Crystal Palace boss would welcome the addition of the midfielder in the next window. But much will depend on the choices he has in front.

Crystal Palace have been a thriving team under the Frenchman since he took over 18 months ago. They might have been terrible, but they are a hub for young players to flourish and showcase their talent. Additionally, the lure of London and the idea of playing alongside some of the game’s exceptional talents is a chance only a few may refuse.

In contrast, West Ham United have a host of senior players who are renowned worldwide. While someone like Declan Rice could depart in the summer, the London Stadium has recently proven a top attraction for some major stars. The Hammers were able to sign Lucas Paqueta and Gianluca Scamacca in recent windows, which may attract talents like Scott.

Scott might see value in moving to either club. But much will depend on where he gets to play regularly. Playing time at this career stage will be essential for his development. Hence, moving to a top club may be out of the question for the midfielder. Bristol City are set to remain firm on their £20 million valuation. But that is not considered a major block for Premier League sides.
