La Liga champions Real Madrid are reportedly tracking the progress of 18-year-old French attacking sensation Malamine Efekele at AS Monaco.
According to a report by Spanish outlet Defensa Central, Malamine Efekele is the subject of interest from Real Madrid. The reigning La Liga champions are closely monitoring the progress of the 18-year-old AS Monaco sensation. And the youngster will cost around €25 million.
Malamine spent most of his formative years with AS Bondy before arriving at AS Monaco a few years ago. The French wonderkid has been with the Monegasque outfit since July 2019. And he currently represents AS Monaco’s under-21 side, earning a promotion ahead of the 2022/23 season.
A right-winger by trade, the 18-year-old attacking sensation is known for his directness in the final third. Efekele has also drawn comparisons with Kylian Mbappe, another AS Monaco youth product. And the youngster’s progress has not gone unnoticed, with Real Madrid among his prospective suitors.
The reigning La Liga champions are renowned for constantly scouring the market for prodigious prospects. Such an outlook has seen Real Madrid land current first-team regulars like Vinicius Junior, Federico Valverde, and Rodrygo Goes. And the Merengues remain in the market for more such youngsters.
They have already succeeded in agreeing to a deal for Endrick, who will arrive at the Bernabeu in less than 18 months. In addition, there are other promising prospects on Real Madrid’s radar, including Rasmus Hojlund. And Efekele is also an option worth considering for Real Madrid.
The 18-year-old French attacking sensation is a right winger and can compete with Rodrygo on that flank. And Real Madrid might launch the offensive for Efekele in the coming months. But they will need to shell out €25 million to prise the teenage prodigy away from AS Monaco. And Real Madrid will let him remain on loan at Stade Louis II if they secure his services.
At €25 million, a player compared to Mbappe is worth investing in, making him an attractive proposition. But it is unclear if Real Madrid will cough up such a sum to land the 18-year-old this year. For now, the reigning La Liga champions are keeping tabs on the teenage sensation.
