Liverpool have reportedly been linked with a move for 18-year-old Birmingham City midfielder George Hall.

According to a report from Football Insider, Liverpool scouts have been watching George Hall in action all season. And the Reds are considering a summer move for the talented 18-year-old English midfielder.

George Hall has been likened to the former Birmingham City midfielder Jude Bellingham, and he is expected to develop into a top-class player in the future. Interestingly, Bellingham himself features on Liverpool’s radar.

Liverpool are hoping to get ahead of the competition and line up a deal for the 18-year-old midfielder before the summer transfer window. And it remains to be seen whether they can reach an agreement with the Championship outfit.

Hall has been a squad player for Birmingham this season, and he has not been a regular starter for them. A move to Liverpool would be a major step up in the player’s career. But he is unlikely to play regularly at Anfield either. It remains to be seen whether the 18-year-old is prepared to take the next step in his career now.

Liverpool have a proven track record of improving talented young players, and Hall will fancy his chances of fulfilling his potential at Anfield. A world-class coach like Jurgen Klopp will help him improve further.

The 18-year-old will have seen how the likes of Harvey Elliott have had ample opportunities to showcase their qualities for the Liverpool first team. And George Hall will fancy following the former Fulham youngster’s footsteps.

Liverpool need to add more depth to their midfield, and they have been linked with a number of players in recent weeks. While Hall will not improve their starting lineup tremendously, he could be a useful squad option, especially for cup games. The player has been linked with Everton in the past, and he could be heading to Merseyside soon.
