Meanwhile, the Chelsea midfielder has had a tough time of late. Kante missed the FIFA World Cup 2022 due to an injury, a tournament where his nation ended up on the wrong side in the final. He has been available for only two matches in the entire first half of the season.

Despite being injured for a while, he has been a highly sought-after player. Clubs have been keeping tabs on his situation. But, it seems to be all over for FC Barcelona, Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain, and Tottenham who are interested in the French midfielder.

Kante is set to extend his contract with Chelsea. The plan from the player’s camp is to meet with the board and discuss his wages in the next few weeks. He is willing to take a pay cut to ensure that he is a part of the plan at Chelsea. The France international loves it at Stamford Bridge and extending his contract is a priority for the 31-year-old.

He is likely to pen down a new deal at Stamford Bridge which will be a major blow for teams who have him on their radar. Barcelona, PSG, Liverpool, and Tottenham will have to look at options elsewhere to bolster their midfield. Meanwhile, Graham Potter will love to have the World Cup winner at his disposal for a few more years.
