Manchester United are reportedly prepared to offer €120 million to sign 24-year-old Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
According to a report by Fichajes, Manchester United are ready to break the bank to land Victor Osimhen. The 24-year-old striker has been in red-hot form of late, and a lot of clubs across Europe have him on their wishlist. And, the Red Devils are prepared to go all out to acquire his services.
Manchester United under Erik ten Hag have completely transformed themselves. They are currently third in the Premier League with 42 points out of their 21 matches. They have managed to revive themselves and are pushing for a Champions League spot. The Red Devils are preparing to add more firepower to their ranks in order to fight for titles.
Erik ten Hag is a big admirer of the Napoli striker and wants him at the club ahead of the next season. Victor Osimhen joined Napoli back in the summer of 2022 from LOSC Lille. Since his arrival, he has featured in 83 matches for the Serie A giants and has been directly involved in 58 goals.
In the ongoing season, Osimhen has played 21 matches for Napoli. He has found the back of the net on 17 occasions and has created four goals for his teammates. The Nigeria international thus averages a goal contribution every match.
Meanwhile, Manchester United will be eager to sign a striker in the summer of 2023. Injuries to Anthony Martial on a regular basis and the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo have not helped them. However, they have taken care of the situation by signing Wout Weghorst on loan.
But with the Dutch striker set to return to his parent club in the summer, Manchester United will once again enter the market in the summer but this time for a long-term fix. Erik ten Hag needs an out-and-out forward in the XI.
