Lucas Moura’s agents are in the UK to sort out an exit from Tottenham and find their client a new project within the UK or Europe.

According to UOL via Sport Witness, Lucas Moura wants to remain in the UK or Europe and continue his playing career. The Brazilian wants to stay on the continent as the Tottenham star’s agents arrive in the UK to sort out an exit from the club and find their client a new project.

Lucas Moura will call time on his Tottenham career after 213 games in all competitions. During this period, the Brazilian scored 38 times and provided 27 assists. He joined the north London side from Paris Saint-Germain, for whom he played 229 times.

Moura was essential to the project under former manager Mauricio Pochettino but not so much under Antonio Conte. He played a big part in their push for Champions League places last season, but he has barely featured for Tottenham this time.

He featured in 8 Premier League games this season, covering only 90 minutes of football action. Tottenham are not interested in offering him a new deal, meaning he will leave on a free transfer during the summer window.

The Tottenham star was reportedly offered a chance to join Everton but may have rejected the idea as others did in January. As for his future, Moura does not want to return to Brazil or South America and wants continuity in the UK or Europe.

The Tottenham star’s agents have arrived in the UK to sort out his exit from the club and seek a new project to his liking. Moura reportedly wants to continue in the continent to further his career. A few English clubs are keen on the 30-year-old, but he might also entertain offers from elsewhere.

Sevilla were reportedly keen before January but instead signed his teammate Bryan Gil on loan. Moura may have rejected some approaches in the previous window, as the summer would allow him to pick and choose from various projects.

Tottenham boss Conte is unlikely to use Moura between now and the end of the campaign considering the riches in attack he has at the club. Recent arrival Arnaut Danjuma all but ends any hope for the Brazilian to feature sporadically for the club as he prepares his exit from north London.

Lucas has been an absolute diamond for Spurs and his semi-final hat-trick in the Champions League was one of the most exciting and emotionally uplifting things I have ever watched a Tottenham player do in all my years as a devout Tottenham supporter (all 56years of them). I thank him genuinely for all his skills and his goals and can only wish him good fortune and many happy years playing the game he loves.
Thank you Lucas as we applaud your service to this crazy, wonderful club. 👏
