West Ham United and Everton will return next summer for Sheraldo Becker, who might consider a move to the Premier League.

Christian Falk has told Caught Offside that Everton and West Ham United retain an interest in Sheraldo Becker. The Premier League duo were keen on the 27-year-old attacker in January. But Bundesliga outfit Union Berlin were not interested in letting him go.

The January market ended in disappointment for Everton, the only Premier League side without any signings. The Toffees are struggling for relevance with their dismal league position. They tried their best to sign an attacker in the window but miserably failed to bring anyone.

Everton also lost Anthony Gordon to Newcastle United but could not re-invest the money into a new talent. Many players did not want to join Everton, looking at their league position. Arnaut Danjuma, for instance, conducted a medical with the Merseysiders before joining Tottenham.

Similarly, Conor Gallagher reportedly rejected a move to Goodison Park. One of the players Everton tried to sign was Sheraldo Becker of Union Berlin. The Toffees and West Ham were reportedly interested in the Suriname attacker but failed to convince the Bundesliga side.

Union Berlin are in a fabulous position in the Bundesliga, and some fans even dream of ousting Bayern Munich for the title. Becker, who has had a hand in 15 goals this season, remains a key component of the team and is unlikely to move in January.

If he keeps up his performance levels until the end of the campaign, more Premier League clubs might come in with interest. The 27-year-old attacker’s head could turn in favour of a move to England as next summer could represent a big decision in his career.

Sky Sports Germany’s Christian Falk confirmed West Ham and Everton’s interest while insisting they might return in the summer. Falk said, “Both West Ham and Everton remain interested in Sheraldo Becker. We’ve just had it confirmed that Union received a concrete offer on Monday, though it’s not immediately clear which of the two submitted it.”

“Union now has a chance to potentially secure Champions League football next year. They’re still in the cup, so that’s why they were reluctant to sell Sheraldo.”

Becker is in a rich vein of form, as many other English sides could emerge next summer. As for West Ham and Everton’s involvement will depend on their top-flight status. Both are closely expected to fight a relegation battle, especially the Toffees.
