Manchester United are reportedly interested in Federico Chiesa and could take advantage of the crisis at Juventus to make a summer approach.

According to Calciomercatoweb, Federico Chiesa is emerging on the radar of Manchester United. The Premier League giants could make an approach in the summer and take advantage of the crisis brewing at Juventus.

Manchester United under Erik ten Hag are in the ascendancy. And with the right signings, they could soon attempt a title charge. The Dutch manager has revived their fortunes with some scintillating football at Old Trafford, which has made them favourites to finish in the top four.

After a brilliant unbeaten streak, Manchester United came into the conversation of a possible title challenge this season. But a draw against Crystal Palace and a last-gasp loss to Arsenal may have cost them a shot at the Premier League title.

Yet, with half a season left, there are a thousand possibilities at the top of the table. Erik ten Hag will remain focused on finishing in the top four and making it to the UEFA Champions League. Manchester United have also begun preparing for their next phase of squad building, with targets such as Federico Chiesa emerging on their radar.

Manchester United could take advantage of the crisis brewing at Juventus. The Italian giants have been docked 15 points off the current season after an FIGC ruling after financial mismanagement with transfers. If they are to finish the campaign outside of European places or the Champions League, they may endure severe financial loss.

Hence, the chances of losing some of their finest players are high. 25-year-old Italian international Federico Chiesa could be one of them. The winger only recently returned from a serious injury and has already shown signs of getting back in form.

There are several English clubs interested, including Liverpool. Premier League clubs have monitored Chiesa for a considerable period. And next summer, one of those could attempt to bring him to England.

Arsenal have already shown an interest in signing him in the summer. Manchester United’s entry in the race could complicate matters for the Gunners. Erik ten Hag has faced plenty of problems with wide forwards this season. Jadon Sancho, Anthony Elanga, and Antony are not performing at optimal levels.

Elanga could depart in this window or the next, while there is uncertainty about Sancho’s long-term prospects. Antony is still cutting his teeth, and Manchester United could accelerate their process by bringing in a proven player on the wings.

Chiesa is already a proven world-beater, and Juventus would sanction a sale if they receive bids close to €100 million. Based on the recent Premier League arrivals of Antony and Mykhaylo Mudryk, Juventus are not about to accept anything less.

For Manchester United, that could be an affordable range; if their interest is serious, they could negotiate the price down. If Chiesa genuinely becomes available, there could also be serious interest from other Premier League clubs.
