Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Brentford goalkeeper David Raya.

According to Spanish journalist Alvaro de Grado, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Tottenham have made contact with 27-year-old Spanish international David Raya regarding a potential move in the near future.

Raya has done quite well for Brentford, and it is no surprise that the top clubs are looking to sign him. He has certainly shown that he has the ability to play for the big clubs. And Tottenham, Chelsea, and Manchester United are keen on signing the Spaniard.

Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge after falling down the pecking order. And Raya could be the quality long-term replacement for the Senegalese international.

Meanwhile, Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea is nearing the end of his contract at Old Trafford, and the Red Devils will have to replace him properly. In addition, de Gea does not fit the bill for the system that Erik ten Hag wants to employ.

As far as Tottenham are concerned, they will need to bring in a new goalkeeper at the end of the season to replace club legend, Hugo Lloris. The 36-year-old Frenchman has been quite error prone and Tottenham will have to find an upgrade on him.

It will be interesting to see if any of Chelsea, Manchester United, and Tottenham follow up on their interest with a concrete proposal for the 27-year-old goalkeeper. The Brentford goalkeeper is at the peak of his career right now, and he will be hoping to play for a club capable of challenging for the major trophies.

The Spanish international could be tempted to join a club in the UEFA Champions League, and it remains to be seen whether the aforementioned clubs can secure Champions League qualification for the next season. All three clubs have the financial resources to tempt Brentford into selling a key player at the end of the season.

A move to Chelsea, Manchester United or Tottenham would be a major step up in the 27-year-old’s career. And he would get to work with top class managers like Antonio Conte and Erik ten Hag as well. It remains to be seen how the situation develops over the next few months and where the Spanish international ends up eventually.
