Barcelona prodigy Ilias Akhomach is reportedly in contact with AC Milan over a possible Bosman move in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by SPORT, Ilias Akhomach is the subject of interest from AC Milan. The Serie A champions want to sign the Barcelona prodigy in a Bosman move in the summer transfer window. And they have already contacted the teenager to discuss a deal.

Ilias Akhomach spent most of his formative years with Barcelona before turning professional as a 16-year-old. The teenage sensation spent four years with Gimnastic Manresa between 2013 and 2017 before rejoining the Blaugrana. And he has been one of the best performers for Barcelona Atletic in the last couple of years.

The 18-year-old has also made three appearances for the first team while being a regular for Barcelona Atletic. But the Catalan giants are in a spot of bother over Akhomach’s long-term future as he is in the final six months of his contract. And such a situation has captured the attention of AC Milan.

The 2022/23 season has been difficult thus far for AC Milan, with the Rossoneri struggling to defend the Serie A title. Inconsistency has plagued most of the attackers, and they have not risen to the occasion thus far. So the Italian champions are considering entering the market for a wide attacker.

A right-winger, in particular, is high on AC Milan’s priority list. That is because players like Alexis Saelemaekers, Junior Messias, and Rade Krunic have blown hot and cold on the right flank. Several attackers, including Barcelona winger Raphinha, have thus emerged on their radar. And Ilias Akhomach is also an attractive target for AC Milan.

The Serie A giants are already negotiating a deal for one young Spaniard, with talks between them and Real Madrid advancing for Brahim Diaz. And Akhomach might be the latest prodigious prospect to arrive at San Siro. The report adds that the Barcelona wonderkid is already in contact with AC Milan.

A Bosman move might be on the cards if Barcelona cannot convince the 18-year-old to sign a new contract. Till then, AC Milan will likely monitor the situation eagerly before launching the offensive for Akhomach.
