La Liga champions Real Madrid are reportedly keen on signing 19-year-old French wonderkid Rayan Cherki from Lyon.
According to a report by Media Foot, Rayan Cherki features on the radar of Real Madrid. The reigning La Liga champions have sent scouts regularly to monitor the 19-year-old Lyon wonderkid in action.
Rayan Cherki is one of the brightest young prospects in France. A graduate of Lyon’s famous academy, the teenage sensation has been with Les Gones for over a decade. And he has been representing the first team for a couple of years since making his debut in October 2019.
The 19-year-old has turned out 80 times thus far for Lyon, chipping in with ten goals and 13 assists. Cherki’s progress has not gone unnoticed either. And several high-profile clubs, including Real Madrid, have set their sights on the French wonderkid.
Cherki has been on Real Madrid’s radar since Zinedine Zidane’s second stint as the first-team boss. The Frenchman rates his compatriot highly and often instructed Los Blancos to watch the youngster in action. And the interest has not waned one-bit despite Zidane’s departure from the Santiago Bernabeu.
