Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund are planning a move for Manchester United winger Anthony Elanga this month.

According to reputed Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Borussia Dortmund are willing to execute a move for Manchester United wide man Anthony Elanga. The 20-year-old has fallen down the pecking order and might be ready for a move elsewhere. And the Bundesliga giants have explored a possible deal for the 20-year-old.

Erik ten Hag has some specific requirements for his attacking players. And things have not gone well with Anthony Elanga. The Swedish winger used to be quite a regular under former manager Ralf Rangnick. But he has not featured prominently thus far this season.

The arrival of Antony from Ajax and Alejandro Garnacho’s emergence have further restricted his movements, as he has not been involved much. Elanga is yet to open his account this season. Given the current scenario, ten Hag might sanction his departure if he feels the 20-year-old would benefit from a temporary move away from Manchester United.

Borussia Dortmund have now tapped into the possibility of securing a loan move. But it is not clear whether the Bundesliga giants would be seeking to insert a permanent option in the deal. The Swede is believed to be open to moving to Bundesliga, but he has also seen Premier League clubs circling around him.

Relegation strugglers Everton have also been eyeing up a move for the Manchester United attacker. Frank Lampard wants a wide player with adequate pace to stretch the opponent’s defence. And Elanga is suited perfectly for that role.

The young winger could be used on the opposite flank and has also played as a centre-forward. Dortmund have lost the pace in the Bundesliga title charge, and their foremost priority would be to seal a UEFA Champions League spot.

Youssoufa Moukoko’s imminent future is hovering under severe doubts amid links with Newcastle United and others. And the player could leave Borussia Dortmund as a free agent in the summer transfer window.

The German giants have not given up on Moukoko, and a consensus might be reached in a short time regarding his long-term future at the club. Bundesliga has often seen young players blooming, with the likes of Jadon Sancho and Jude Bellingham rising in stature. And Elanga could also follow suit.
