Chelsea have submitted a verbal proposal of €30 million for Noni Madueke

Chelsea have proposed a verbal €30 million offer to land PSV Eindhoven winger Noni Madueke this month.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are willing to offer a sum of €30 million to bring in PSV Eindhoven winger Noni Madueke in the January transfer window.

The Blues have been splashing money following their poor run this season as co-owner Todd Boehly is ready to witness a squad overhaul in winter. They already brought in four players including Joao Felix on a loan deal from Atletico Madrid and are still searching for the best possible fit.

Madueke hasn’t been that prolific this season but is regarded as a gem of talent and if he gets the proper guidance he can shine on a regular basis. PSV manager Ruud van Nistlerooy already lost Cody Gakpo to Liverpool this month and insisted they will try their best to keep the player in Holland.

“I know there is interest. This is due to his qualities and performance. It’s a worry.

“We need to see if we can keep him. I very much hope for that. We must do everything we can to do that. But you also know that things can take off, if the purse is pulled hard.

“Then you have to be ready with several options, because then you would lose a second player in January. But as a coach you would rather keep your best players.

“Situations can arise where clubs come in with an offer that cannot be stopped.”

The London-born youngster came through various ranks at Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur and current Chelsea coach Graham Potter has been tracking him for quite a while.

Chelsea have also agreed to a €100 million deal with Shakhtar Donetsk for the transfer of Mykhaylo Mudryk and Madueke could follow suit. The forward has taken big strides in his career and at Stamford Bridge, he will have access to the best resources.

Chelsea’s current form could be a concern as the Blues have not been at their best and the arrival of the England U21 international could breathe life into their uninspiring campaign.
