Yunus Musah could stay at Valencia for the remainder of the season, thus dealing a blow to Arsenal and Liverpool.

Tribal Football reckons Yunus Musah could remain with La Liga giants Valencia for the remainder of the season. The American midfielder remains committed to the club. And the decision is bad news for Arsenal and Liverpool in their efforts to sign the 20-year-old midfielder.

Yunus Musah made a mark for the USMNT at the World Cup in Qatar, putting in some accomplished performances for his country. He is already a massive talent after his displays with Valencia, and there’s a feeling he could depart the Spanish side for a top club.

English sides have shown an interest in acquiring the 20-year-old La Liga midfielder, but his contract also has a hefty release clause. Valencia will remain relaxed for now, as his deal runs until 2026 but knows the player may depart if a sizeable offer arrives.

Arsenal have shown an interest and reportedly recently saw a bid rejected for the midfielder. Mikel Arteta is keen on the USMNT star but may have to bide his time before building hopes of signing him. Musah was an Arsenal academy product but left the club early to join Valencia on a free transfer.

He has previously liked the idea of returning to the Emirates, but the Gunners are not alone in the pursuit. Arteta needs a new midfielder in the central zone, and the club are open to recruiting this month. There are links to Youri Tielemans, but they are willing to wait and sign him on a free transfer.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are also keen on the midfielder, with Jurgen Klopp needing a new player in the central position. They have admired Musah before but could become wary of overpaying, especially in this window. The 20-year-old La Liga midfielder fits the style at Merseyside and could prove a good addition.

Liverpool may end up signing one of the midfielders linked with them this month. Mikel Merino’s name emerged recently, while several others are on their shortlist. The two clubs could be in for a blow as Musah may end up staying put at Valencia until the end of the season.

While Valencia could remain open to selling the midfielder, they reportedly want Musah to stay for the remainder of the campaign. The midfielder is willing to oblige and is ‘committed’ to staying at the club. The summer window may be an opportunity for Arsenal, Liverpool, and several others in their attempts to sign the 20-year-old La Liga midfielder.

If Musah keeps up with his performance, Valencia could demand a sizeable fee next summer. He will remain at the club, and many English sides will keep constant tabs to see if he fits their mould.
