According to a report from Give Me Sport, Liverpool and Tottenham are keeping tabs on Joao Palhinha. And they could look to make a move for the 27-year-old Fulham midfielder in the coming months.
Joao Palhinha joined Fulham in a deal worth around £20 million, and he has been an instant hit at the London club. The Portuguese international has taken to the Premier League like a duck to water, establishing himself as a key player for folium. He has three goals in the league this season.
There is no doubt that the 27-year-old is one of the most reliable defensive midfielders in the league right now. And Liverpool could certainly use someone like him. Brazilian midfielder Fabinho’s form has fallen off a cliff this season, and Jurgen Klopp is in desperate need of reinforcements.
It will be interesting to see if Fulham are prepared to let a key player leave midway through the season. The London club have no shortage of resources, and they are under no pressure to sell Palhinha in January.
