Mykhaylo Mudryk is not ruling out a move to Chelsea as the Arsenal target continues to consider his options this month.

According to The Sun, Mykhaylo Mudryk is considering Chelsea’s interest but still needs to decide between choosing the Blues and the much-publicised interest from Arsenal. The 22-year-old winger is keen to leave Shakhtar Donetsk this month, but he still has a difficult choice.

The Mykhaylo Mudryk to Premier League saga has been dragging on. For many months, Arsenal seemed like the primary contender to sign the 22-year-old winger. But things have become complicated since Chelsea entered the chase.

The Arsenal target had made his intentions clear about joining the Gunners for so long, using his Instagram regularly to convey the message. Mikel Arteta is seemingly keen on signing the winger, and Arsenal have seen at least two significant bids get rejected by Shakhtar Donetsk.

The Ukrainian outfit are adamant over their valuation of the winger, with public demands of around €100 million. They have often cited deals conducted by Manchester United for Antony and Manchester City’s move for Jack Grealish as the benchmark.

Arsenal are unwilling to pay so much for a player with only around 50 notable games under his belt, including internationals. Hence the Gunners have a specific valuation in mind, although they have shown a willingness to come closer to what Shakhtar want for Mudryk.

While Arsenal may have expected to come to an agreement with Shakhtar at some stage, Chelsea’s entry has complicated matters. The Blues opened talks, and their director Darijo Srna was present at Stamford Bridge for the game against Manchester City.

The executive is reportedly holding talks with both London sides to agree on terms with one for Mudryk. Chelsea are keen to get the deal over the line, and they will outbid Arsenal if things come to that stage. However, they are yet to launch an official offer because the player is not inclined to join them.

That may change following the latest report, which claims Mudryk could consider a switch to Chelsea if any move to Arsenal fades away. The winger could become open to playing at Stamford Bridge, as his primary aim is to get out of Shakhtar this month.

Moreover, the recent injuries suffered by Raheem Sterling and Christian Pulisic could force Chelsea to accelerate their pursuit of the winger. For now, Arsenal are firmly in the driving seat for Mudryk. But things could change if the Gunners cannot come to terms with Shakhtar.
