Real Madrid will need to cough up €80 million to sign emerging Georgian attacker Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from Serie A giants Napoli.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia remains on the radar of Real Madrid. But Los Blancos will need to pay €80 million to prise the emerging Georgian attacker from Serie A club Napoli this year.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has set the stage alight since joining Napoli from Dinamo Batumi in the summer. The 21-year-old took little time to settle down at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium. And he has played a crucial role in Napoli’s ascent to the top of the Serie A standings this season.

The youngster has eight goals and ten assists in 18 appearances thus far this season. And he was also phenomenal for Georgia in the UEFA Nations League, amassing five goals and three assists in just six outings. Kvaratskhelia’s progress has not gone unnoticed either, with Real Madrid among his prospective suitors.

Real Madrid will likely invest in an attacker in the summer transfer window amid uncertainties surrounding Eden Hazard and Marco Asensio. The duo might depart from the Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the season due to vastly different reasons.

Hazard has failed to make his mark at Real Madrid and might end his Real Madrid misery in the summer. On the other hand, Asensio has entered the final year of his contract and is yet to sign a new deal. Recent reports have even linked the Spanish international with a January move to Manchester United. Kvaratskhelia has thus emerged as a viable target for Real Madrid.

But recent reports indicated that the Merengues are no longer interested in the 21-year-old. However, that does not seem to be the case, with Los Blancos still considering signing him from Napoli. But the Serie A giants want €80 million to part ways with the emerging Georgian attacker.

Real Madrid might not have usually any qualms about paying €80 million to sign Kvaratskhelia. But with Josko Gvardiol likely to be an expensive acquisition if he arrives from RB Leipzig, it is unclear if Real Madrid will have enough funds to sign the Georgian international.
