Manchester United might have to shell out €70 million to conclude a transfer for Eintracht Frankfurt forward Randal Kolo Muani.

Fabrizio Romano has told Caught Offside that €70 million is the fee Manchester United will have to round up for the transfer of Eintracht Frankfurt hitman Randal Kolo Muani.

Manchester United can make a foray into the winter transfer market. But fund will be limitated as they can only afford small deals and loan moves as of now. The Red Devils overshot their summer budget and as a result, they have to be within the desired limit this month.

But despite making some changes to the attacking ranks, Erik ten Hag has not hidden his desire to bring in another forward to cope with the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese striker left the club on mutual consent to join Al-Nassr, and it will be monumental to replace his goals.

Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial can fill in when it comes to leading the line. But the absence of a proper physical goal-poaching number nine has been felt at Manchester United. And Randal Kolo Muani has emerged as a viable target.

The 24-year-old only moved to Germany in the summer and has taken his class to another level with five goals and ten assists in 14 Bundesliga matches. The French striker also chipped in with valuable contributions during France’s incredible World Cup journey, and it has not gone unnoticed.

Manchester United have already lost the race for Cody Gakpo to Liverpool, and they have to chalk out plans for the future if they are ready to execute their plans to the next step. But Kolo Muani will not come cheap, with Eintracht Frankfurt slapping a €70 million price tag on him.

Fabrizio Romano insisted a minimum of €70 million will be required to acquire the service of the French striker. “Manchester United have been linked with a number of strikers, and the latest is Randal Kolo Muani.”

“Still, in January it is more than difficult for any club – there is no intention from Eintracht Frankfurt to sell the player, and his price tag is around €70 million. I think Kolo Muani alongside Jonathan David is one to watch for the summer.”

A January move for Kolo Muani looks improbable as Frankfurt will not want to part ways with their prized asset in the midst of the season. In addition, Manchester United’s financial issues mean paying €70 million for a player is unlikely.
