Manchester United have set their sights on Randal Kolo Muani, and they are ready with a €60 million bid for the Eintracht Frankfurt striker.

According to a report by L’Equipe, Manchester United are set to launch a massive €60 million offer for Eintracht Frankfurt hitman Randal Kolo Muani. The Red Devils have been linked with several leading strikers around the world but have not been able to finalise a name.

Erik ten Hag has prioritised signing a striker in the January transfer window. But widespread reports have suggested that Manchester United will not be gunning for big names and will only resort to loan deals.

The Red Devils are short on their centre-forward options following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo. That has left Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial as the only players capable of playing through the middle. But the former is more comfortable while cutting in from the left flank.

Erik ten Hag publicly emphasised the importance of a new striker, and it seems the recruitment team has finally solidified their search. The Manchester United boss recently said, “There will be many games to follow, so I think there is a need for a new striker. We need one who can have an impact, otherwise you are just burning money and you don’t strengthen the squad.”

Manchester United have also been offered the chance to sign Joao Felix on a loan deal for the remainder of the season. Recent reports have suggested they are the front-runners to sign the Portuguese international. But Atletico Madrid’s exorbitant demands have proven to be too costly, and the Red Devils are unlikely to entertain them.

Randal Kolo Muani joined Eintracht Frankfurt from Nantes in the summer transfer window and has had an instant impact. The Frenchman, who represented his nation at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, has been involved in 15 goals in 15 Bundesliga matches for his side.

Frankfurt are unwilling to part ways as they are still competing for a Champions League berth. And it will be difficult to replace his goals if a deal is to be done. Kolo Muani had a pretty supportive role as France came from behind to restore the parity against Argentina in the World Cup final only to lose in the penalty shootout.

Bayern Munich are also said to be interested in the player but might not be able to match Manchester United’s soon-to-be-proposed €60 million offer alongside the prospect of playing the toughest league in the world. Meanwhile, the Red Devils have also shown interest in Vincent Aboubakar. It will be interesting to see if a €60 million move for Kolo Muani comes to fruition.
