Newcastle will need to bring in a quality left-back and a defensive midfielder first. The Magpies are currently in the top four of the Premier League and will be hoping to secure UEFA Champions League qualification this season.

There is no doubt that the 25-year-old has the quality to thrive in the Premier League, and it will be interesting to see where he ends up. The Frenchman has proven himself to be a reliable goal scorer this season and he is versatile enough to play anywhere across the front tree.

Given the fact that he will be a free agent in the summer, the player is likely to be available for a reasonable price this month. He could prove to be a quality bargain acquisition. Thuram is still only 25 and is likely to improve with coaching and experience.
