Chelsea midfielder Jorginho reportedly wants to join Serie A club Napoli instead of Barcelona or Newcastle United.

According to a report from La Repubblica, Jorginho will be out of contract at Chelsea at the end of the season. And he is expected to leave the west London club as a free agent. The Italian international wants to rejoin Serie A giants Napoli instead of moving to Barcelona or Newcastle United.

Chelsea have not been able to agree on a new contract with Jorginho, and it will be interesting to see where he ends up. The player has been linked with clubs like Newcastle United and Barcelona in recent weeks. But he will prefer to return to his former club Napoli.

Jorginho moved to Chelsea from the Serie A club, and it is hardly a surprise that he wants to return to his comfort zone. The Italian international enjoyed some of the best years of his career at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. And Napoli will invariably be his comfort zone.

The 31-year-old has been a key player for Chelsea since joining the club, helping them win major trophies during his time at Stamford Bridge. It will be interesting to see if the Blues can replace Jorginho adequately in the upcoming windows.

Apparently, Barcelona are looking at the player as a potential replacement for club legend, Sergio Busquets. Newcastle United are hoping to add more quality and experience to their midfield, and Eddie Howe has identified Jorginho as the ideal partner for Bruno Guimaraes.

All three clubs should be able to afford the Chelsea midfielder, especially because he will be available for a free transfer. The Italian international will have the opportunity to choose his next destination, and he will be able to negotiate pre-contract agreements with the likes of Barcelona and Napoli once the transfer window reopens next month.

It will be interesting to see if Newcastle United or Barcelona can come forward with a lucrative offer for the 31-year-old and convince him to snub a move to Serie A to join them instead.

Newcastle have improved a lot since their takeover and will hope to secure UEFA Champions League qualification. They will need proven and experienced players if they compete in Europe next season. And the Chelsea midfielder could be a quality addition on a free transfer. On the other hand, Barcelona could use his experience and leadership qualities to replace Busquets.
