London giants Arsenal are reportedly tracking Malo Gusto, a target for Barcelona and Manchester United valued at €40 million.

According to a report by Give Me Sport, Malo Gusto is the subject of interest from Arsenal. The Lyon right-back is also a target for Manchester United and Barcelona. And reputed journalist Dean Jones has added that the young Frenchman might be tempted to move to the Emirates.

Jones said, “He’s the type of right-back that I think would be a really good fit for Arsenal under the current vision, and bearing in mind how Saliba has grown, I’m sure there are reasons there for him to be tempted by a move like this.”

Malo Gusto is one of the brightest young full-backs in France. The 19-year-old has been with Lyon since 2016 and graduated from the French club’s academy a couple of years ago. And the young right-back has established himself as a pivotal figure for Les Gones during this period.

The Frenchman has turned out 14 times in Ligue 1 this season, chipping in with one assist. And Gusto is an attractive target for several European bigwigs, considering his contract will expire in 18 months. Arsenal, Barcelona, and Manchester United are among his prospective suitors.

The interest from Arsenal is surprising, considering Ben White has successfully transformed into the first-choice right-back. In addition, Mikel Arteta has the dependable Takehiro Tomiyasu in his squad. And while Cedric Soares will likely leave Arsenal in January, it is unclear how another right-back fits in the scheme of things.

As for Barcelona, the Blaugrana will delve into the market for a right-back in the summer. With Hector Bellerin failing to make his mark, the Catalan giants need a long-term right-back solution. And Gusto has emerged as a viable target for Barcelona to replace the former Arsenal defender. But his price tag, worth around €40 million, might play spoilsport.

Meanwhile, Manchester United will offload Aaron Wan-Bissaka next year. And Gusto is a top target for the English giants to replace the former Crystal Palace defender. In addition, Manchester United will unlikely have any qualms about shelling out €40 million to sign the 19-year-old.

Arsenal, Barcelona, and Manchester United are not the only clubs keeping tabs on Gusto. The French defender has also emerged on the radars of clubs like Chelsea and Tottenham. And it will be interesting to see which club pays €40 million for the Lyon full-back.
