Manchester United have offered €60 million for Antoine Griezmann after the experienced Frenchman’s terrific performances at the World Cup.

According to Fichajes, Manchester United have made an offer worth €60 million to Atletico Madrid for Antoine Griezmann. The experienced French attacker had a tremendous World Cup in Qatar, which has put him back on the radar among a few big clubs.

Antoine Griezmann has largely struggled since joining Barcelona a few years ago. Not only did he trade his prolific career at Atletico Madrid then, but it also cost the Catalan giants a lot of money after paying around €120 million for his signature.

After a torrid time in Catalonia, Griezmann rejoined Atletico Madrid on an initial loan deal, which could have been made permanent. And the veteran French international has completed the move this year.

Griezmann steadily returned to form before the World Cup break, and he was considered extremely important by Didier Deschamps for France. The experienced French attacker repaid the faith after some accomplished performances for Les Bleus, who lost to Argentina on penalties in the final.

Griezmann’s performances have attracted interest from Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag, who is willing to sign the player. With speculation rife, the report from the Spanish outlet claims the Red Devils have already made an offer worth €60 million to tempt Atletico to consider.

Atletico Madrid have many financial problems in the current climate and could reluctantly accept a sizeable proposal. And the €60 million offer from Manchester United will land Los Rojiblancos a massive profit.

Whether they are open to letting him go in January when fellow attacker Joao Felix’s future is also in considerable doubt is unclear. Interestingly, Manchester United are also interested in the disgruntled Portuguese international.

Griezmann, 31, will bring loads of experience to the table that could help Manchester United progress this season. He could have a similar impact to Christian Eriksen, who signed on a free transfer during the summer. Griezmann could become the big-name signing fans are craving for and make the best of the opportunity to play in the Premier League.
