Manchester United have been linked with a move for 31-year-old French international attacker Antoine Griezmann.

According to a report from Media Foot, 31-year-old Atletico Madrid attacker Antoine Griezmann is on Manchester United’s radar.

Griezmann completed a permanent transfer to Atletico Madrid this year. The French international has a contract with the Spanish outfit until the summer of 2026. However, Los Rojiblancos are going through financial difficulties, and it is fair to assume that the Spanish giants will look to sell him at the end of the season.

Manchester United could certainly use quality attacking reinforcements after the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo. And Griezmann could prove to be an outstanding short-term addition. The 31-year-old has been one of the best players at the 2022 FIFA World Cup so far, and he will be crucial to France’s hopes of lifting the coveted trophy on Sunday.

There is no doubt that Griezmann has the quality to excel in the Premier League, and he could prove to be a smart acquisition for Erik ten Hag if Manchester United manage to pull off his signature. Given his situation with the Spanish giants, Griezmann could be available for a reasonable price at the end of the season.

The 31-year-old has six goals and nine assists across all competitions for club and country so far this season. And he will add goals and creativity in the final third for the Red Devils. Furthermore, the French international can operate anywhere across the front three and as an attacking midfielder as well. His versatility will be an added bonus for Manchester United.

Griezmann has been linked with a move to the Premier League for years now, and it will be interesting to see if he can finally secure a transfer to England at the end of the season.

Manchester United certainly have the finances to pull off the transfer, and it remains to be seen how the situation develops. Griezmann has already proven his quality in Spain over the years, and the opportunity to showcase his quality in the Premier League could be an attractive option for the 31-year-old French international now.
