Wolverhampton Wanderers have shown interest in Aaron Wan-Bissaka amid uncertainties surrounding his future at Manchester United.

As per 90min, Aaron Wan-Bissaka could be on his way out of Manchester United, with Wolverhampton Wanderers being one of the potential destinations. The 25-year-old has fallen heavily in the pecking order since the arrival of Erik ten Hag, and Manchester United will entertain new offers for him.

Erik ten Hag already made it pretty clear Diogo Dalot will be his preferred right-back when he took charge of Manchester United in the summer. And the Dutch manager he does not view Wan-Bissaka as worthy of being an understudy. So the 25-year-old will likely leave Manchester United in January.

Excessive use of Dalot could leave him exhausted, as the Red Devils do not have much depth in his position. Brandon Williams could chip in with valuable contributions, but the Manchester United academy graduate is expected to be loaned out to gain some valuable game time when the transfer window reopens in January.

Crystal Palace are thought to be interested in bringing Wan-Bissaka back to Selhurst Park. But Premier League rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers will likely step up their efforts as soon as possible. Julen Lopetegui’s appointment has paved the way for the need for a new right-back who could provide some much-needed competition to Nelson Semedo.

Meanwhile, Manchester United overshot their budget in the summer as there were some unplanned arrivals at Old Trafford. And they could have to offload some of their players to comply with the Financial Fair Play parameters.

Several right-backs, including Jeremie Frimpong, have been linked with Manchester United. And it seems Wan-Bissaka’s days at Old Trafford are numbered. An initial loan with an option to make his stay permanent could be a viable option as the club will not approve temporary deals.

Wolves have also targeted Real Valladolid starlet Ivan Fresneda. But a move for the Manchester United defender seems more realistic. The Red Devils paid to the tune of £50 million to acquire his service. But it would be enormously difficult to recoup up at least half of the amount.

The defender did receive an England call-up following his breakthrough campaign in 2018/19 with Crystal Palace. But an injury never allowed him to wear the Three Lions coveted jersey. With club football set to resume, it remains to be seen how things pan out for Wan-Bissaka as he might be one of the first to leave the Premier League giants next month
