According to Fichajes, Bryan Gil is a target for many La Liga sides as the youngster continues to struggle for minutes at Tottenham. Having endured a difficult time since joining the north Londoners, the Spanish youngster could opt for a move away to revive his stalling career.
Bryan Gil was considered a shrewd acquisition when Tottenham decided to invest £25 million in him. The former Sevilla starlet had a few impressive games at Spurs but never could force his way through to cement a first-team place.
Since the arrival of Antonio Conte at the helm, Gil has found playing time hard to come by, as the Italian has restricted the 21-year-old Tottenham attacker to mere cameo appearances. This season, he was only afforded six minutes of Premier League action in one substitute appearance.
Those minutes are starting to worry Gil and his stuttering future as a professional. He spent the second half of last season on loan at Valencia and had a fairly successful time. Los Che, however, could not envisage spending a huge sum to make the signing permanent, although they remain in the hunt if another loan opportunity arises.
Tottenham are reportedly open to allowing Gil to leave, but considering the amount invested and the contract length, it could be a loan deal. A trio of La Liga sides are reportedly keen, with Real Sociedad, Espanyol, and Valencia all interested in taking him on board.
Sociedad are interested but may need to bring something interesting to the table to get the player. They are in contention to finish in the Champions League places, which may be a good incentive for Gil to consider them as an option.
Meanwhile, Valencia is a territory he knows very well. He could remain open to a return to the club, There were additional rumours of a return to Sevilla, but the Spanish side are unlikely to make a move owing to the costs involved.
For now, Gil does not have a short-term future at Tottenham, but he could be a future option if his development goes to plan.
