La Liga champions Real Madrid have reportedly verbally agreed to a deal worth €60 million to sign Brazilian whizkid Endrick.
According to reputed Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid and Palmeiras have verbally agreed to a deal for Endrick. Los Blancos will pay €60 million to Palmeiras plus €12 million in taxes to acquire the in-demand Brazilian whizkid. And they plan to complete all the documentation by the end of the month.
Endrick has been one of the hottest properties in the transfer market despite being only 16 years old. The teenage prodigy had already captured the attention of various European bigwigs due to his exploits at the Copinha aged 15. And his stock skyrocketed after he broke into the Palmeiras first-team squad.
Despite his tender age, the Brazilian whizkid managed three goals and one assist in seven games. And as the 2022 season ended, the race to sign Endrick had become fiercely contested among the European elites. Clubs like Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, and Barcelona have been clamouring for his signature, with Real Madrid also a prospective suitor.
The reigning La Liga champions were the first notable club to show interest in the in-demand Brazilian wonderkid. And the interest from Real Madrid grew with every passing month, and they stepped up their efforts last month. As rumours of a bid from PSG emerged, Real Madrid intensified the contact even more.

So it was hardly surprising when recent reports claimed that Real Madrid had agreed on personal terms with Endrick. And the Merengues are now on the verge of securing the services of the 16-year-old. Real Madrid will pay Palmeiras €60 million, with an additional payment of €12 million going into taxes.
An additional update from Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Real Madrid will unlikely make the official announcement this week. They still need a few more days to resolve minor issues with FIFA. Once that is done, Real Madrid will sign the documents, and the official process should end within December.
So Endrick becomes the latest Brazilian whizkid to be set to join Real Madrid. The Palmeiras prodigy will break all the records, considering Los Blancos will pay €60 million plus €12 million for him. It will be interesting to see if he takes Europe by storm when he finally arrives at the Bernabeu in July 2024 after turning 18.
