La Liga champions Real Madrid are edging closer to landing in-demand Brazilian wonderkid Endrick after agreeing on personal terms with him.

According to reputed Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Endrick is closing in on joining Real Madrid. The Brazilian wonderkid has already agreed on personal terms with Los Blancos. And the deal to sign the in-demand Palmeiras striker will be worth over €70 million.

Endrick’s status as one of the most highly sought-after players in the transfer market has been sealed this year. The teenage prodigy has seen his stock skyrocket even though he is just 16 years old. And after dazzling age-group football in his homeland, the player has already broken into the Palmeiras first-team squad.

The Brazilian wonderkid turned out for the Brazilian champions in the season’s final stretch. And he broke records with almost every outing, racking up three goals and one assist in seven games. Endrick’s progress has not gone unnoticed either, with Real Madrid at the head of the queue of suitors.

Florentino Perez is an advocate of poaching youngsters before the world knows about them. And such an outlook has meant that players like Vinicius Junior, Federico Valverde, and Rodrygo Goes have become world beaters at Real Madrid. Endrick is the umpteenth example of Real Madrid’s outlook in the transfer market.

The Merengues first set their sights on the 16-year-old following his exploits at the Copinha. And Los Blancos’ interest has risen considerably throughout the year. Meanwhile, the emergence of the other suitors has forced Real Madrid’s hands, and they have been preparing an offer to sign the player.

Fabrizio Romano recently claimed that Real Madrid and Palmeiras were conducting official talks over a deal for Endrick. And while the reigning La Liga champions are the front-runners on that front, they have already finalised personal terms. The in-demand Brazilian wonderkid is ready to join Real Madrid in a deal worth over €70 million.

Recent reports have linked clubs like Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea with Endrick. But Real Madrid will seemingly win the race to sign the 16-year-old Palmeiras prodigy when he turns 18 in 2024. It will be interesting to see if the other suitors can claw their way back in the chase.
