Manchester City ready to offer €30 million for Nicolo Rovella

Manchester City are reportedly ready to fork out €30 million to sign Italian midfielder Nicolo Rovella from Juventus.

According to a report from Tutto Juve, Manchester City are keen to sign Nicolo Rovella from Juventus at the end of the season. The Citizens are willing to offer €30 million for the the 20-year-old Italian midfielder.

Rovella is currently on loan at Italian club Monza, so that he can continue his development with regular first-team football. Juventus signed the player from Genoa a few seasons ago, and he has had a couple of loan spells away from the Allianz Stadium. It will be interesting to see whether the Turin-based club are prepared to sell Rovella in the upcoming windows.

Manchester City are looking to bring in long-term midfield reinforcements, and Rovella could prove to be a quality acquisition. The report claims that Manchester City are willing to offer around €30 million for the 20-year-old defensive midfielder.

Rovella has the potential to develop into a quality player in future, and Juventus might not be too open to cashing in on him just yet. Furthermore, the Italian midfielder needs to join a club where he can play regularly, and he might not get that opportunity at a club like Manchester City. A move to the Premier League champions might not be ideal for him at this stage of his career.

It is no secret that Manchester City need to add more depth to the central midfield, thus explaining the interest in Rovella. But the 20-year-old is not ready to start for them in the Premier League. The Italian midfielder is likely to be a squad player for them, and sitting on the bench at Manchester City will only affect his development.

Manchester City currently have just one defensive midfielder in Rodri, and Pep Guardiola needs to bring in more depth in that position. Furthermore, they are could lose Ilkay Gundogan at the end of the season when his contract expires.

It will be a top priority for the Premier League champions to bring midfield reinforcements in the upcoming windows. As for Rovella, he is currently enjoying regular game time at Monza and will hope to continue impressing with them and force his way into the Juventus first team in the near future.
