Arsenal, Barcelona keeping tabs on Estevao

Arsenal and Barcelona are among the clubs keeping regular tabs on the progress of in-demand Palmeiras youngster Estevao.

According to Goal, Arsenal and Barcelona are among the clubs keeping regular tabs on the progress made by Palmeiras youngster Estevao Willian. The 15-year-old Brazilian prodigy is the next in line for approaches from European giants after another teenager, Endrick, was in the news lately.

Palmeiras are bracing themselves for huge offers from two of their prime youngsters. 16-year-old Endrick and 15-year-old Brazilian prodigy Estevao Willian are the subjects of widespread interest from European giants, with massive approaches expected to arrive at some stage.

After the European pack relentlessly chased Endrick for the last few months, the attention has switched towards Estevao recently. Barcelona, Arsenal, the Manchester clubs, and both Spanish giants were keen on the former, who may have chosen Real Madrid as his next destination.

FIFA rules prevent young players from leaving until they turn 18. So Real Madrid will have to wait two more years to secure Endrick. Similarly, 15-year-old Brazilian prodigy, Estevao will only leave Brazil after 2025. But clubs are already preparing approaches.

PSG reportedly made an offer for the 15-year-old Brazilian prodigy, supposedly a double bid involving Endrick. Reports suggest Palmeiras have rejected the approach and will wait for more clubs to come into the equation for Estevao.

Barcelona joined the chase for Estevao after they were convinced Endrick would join another club. Xavi Hernandez wanted the 16-year-old. But he has now kept tabs on the 15-year-old Brazilian prodigy. While Barcelona know the need to wait until 2025, they intend to move ahead of the queue and take the highly-rated youngster beforehand.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are also in the hunt for Estevao, with Mikel Arteta and Edu keen on multiple Brazilian prospects. While they may have no chance with Endrick, the Gunners’ sporting director could use his influence in the Brazilian market to broker a deal with Palmeiras for the 15-year-old Brazilian prodigy.

The Gunners are already talking with Palmeiras for Danilo and could explore the idea of having a deal in place for Estevao. The youngster is a highly-rated prospect who will have plenty more Premier League sides chasing him soon.

Arsenal also signed 19-year-old Marquinhos from Sao Paulo in the summer, and they might keep multiple tabs on young Brazilian stars, including Estevao. The race for the 15-year-old is expected to fire up as some of the best European clubs could scramble for his signature.
