And Emery views the 23-year-old as a potential backup to Ollie Watkins and Danny Wings.
His reasonable tender age will play a major role in his transfer. But Atletico won’t let Cunha leave on a cut-price deal, and the Spanish giants will grind as much as they can. Manchester United do have the financial resources to fund the move in January as Ronaldo’s contract termination freed a lot of wages.
