Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly need to pay around €18 million to secure the services of versatile Atalanta attacker Ruslan Malinovskyi.

According to a report by Italian outlet Calciomercato, Atalanta will demand €18 million to part ways with Ruslan Malinovskyi. The 29-year-old versatile attacker is a target for Premier League heavyweights Tottenham Hotspur.

Ruslan Malinovskyi has endured a topsy-turvy ride since joining Atalanta from KRC Genk in July 2019. The Ukrainian international has been a dependable performer for the Serie A outfit with his versatility. But he has pendulated being a first-choice option for Gian Piero Gasperini and a backup candidate.

The 29-year-old wanted to leave Atalanta in the summer transfer window. But after failing to secure a departure, Malinovskyi has become a rotation option for La Dea. And he has started only five of the 15 Serie A games thus far. But the player might get his move after all, with Tottenham keen on signing him in January.

Tottenham had shown interest in Malinovskyi in the summer transfer window, but a move did not materialise. But the interest has not waned much in the last few months, despite the player’s dwindling fortunes at Atalanta. And it is clear why Spurs want to bring the versatile attacker to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Antonio Conte needs more goals from midfield. And Malinovskyi, with his qualities, can fit in the midfield pairing easily at Tottenham. Alternatively, the Ukrainian international can also get the job done by featuring in the offensive unit. And they now know how much they will need to fork out to sign him from Atalanta.

The Serie A giants want €18 million to part ways with Malinovskyi in the January transfer window. That is an intriguing valuation, considering the 29-year-old will become a free agent in the 2023 summer transfer window. And with the versatile attacker unlikely to pen a new deal, it is €18 million or bust for Atalanta.

The report does not mention whether Tottenham will be open to shelling out €18 million to sign the Ukrainian international. But it will be interesting to see if the north Londoners step up their efforts to land Malinovskyi in January. For now they are the front-runners to end Malinovskyi’s adventure in Serie A.
