Manchester United are ready to battle Leeds United in the chase for Sasa Lukic, who is evaluating his future at Torino.

According to Torino Granata, Sasa Lukic is ready to evaluate his career at Torino amid mounting interest from Premier League clubs. Manchester United are the latest to express interest, with Leeds United trailing the midfielder for quite a while.

Sasa Lukic has caught the attention of his suitors throughout the two games played at the World Cup. The midfielder has been a steady presence for Torino, but his future is in doubt at the Serie A club.

Torino are keen on extending his contract, but the 26-year-old is reportedly evaluating his options. With 24 months left on his deal and a decent World Cup under his bag, Lukic could consider the widespread interest from top clubs, mainly from England.

Leeds United have remained interested for a while now and could follow up with a severe approach ahead of the January transfer window. Torino know that the following window is crucial enough to decide the 26-year-old midfielder’s future.

January is the best time to get decent value on Lukic, but that will put the Serie A outfit at considerable risk with the remainder of their season. If the Serb decides not to extend his contract and Torino keep him until the summer, his value will deplete considerably.

Clubs will surely come back with cut-price offers in the summer but will want an agreement ahead of the January transfer window. While Leeds are keen on his services, Manchester United have reportedly joined in the hunt for the Serbian midfielder.

Erik ten Hag is in the market for a new midfielder. While Frenkie de Jong remains his primary target, the chances of the Dutchman moving in January are slim. Hence, with the need for a new player in the essential position, Lukic might become a player of interest.

Lukic is looking to evaluate his situation at Torino as he waits on clubs like Manchester United to come forward with a sizeable approach. Whether the Red Devils will make an offer for the 26-year-old midfielder remains the question.

For now, Torino will remain desperate to keep hold of the player and probably tie him down on a new deal. A more to the Premier League would be great for his career at this stage, and he should get in the frame to play regularly at either Manchester United or Leeds.
