West Ham United have submitted a €15 million offer to get the deal done for Spezia defender Jakub Kiwior in January.

According to Milan Live, West Ham United have offered €15 million to bring Polish defender Jakub Kiwior to the Premier League. The Spezia player has been the subject of severe interest from a number of clubs.

Following a hard time in the English top flight, the Hammers will be trying to plug their gaps. And a successful January transfer window could be the key to a successful revival.

David Moyes has been planning to add some names to his squad, and Kiwior has topped the list. The West Ham manager is planning to reshuffle his backline, and the Polish defender could definitely inject some stability into that vulnerable defence.

He has been a solid presence for of the Polish side that has kept two back-to-back clean sheets at the World Cup. Kiwior has proven to be a pivotal part of his national team and needs to shun Lionel Messi in the final group stage match to book a place in the knockouts.

Kiwior has his admirers spread out across Serie A, as the likes of AC Milan and Juventus are also vying for his services. Having plied his trade in the Serie A, the 22-year-old could be a tailor-made choice for both clubs.

Spezia would like to keep their most prized asset till the end of the ongoing campaign. But they cannot ignore a lucrative bid and will offer the player to the highest bidder. The player has already earned praise for his astute defending skills, and his arrival could widen Moyes’s options at the London stadium.

Both Craig Dawson and Angelo Ogbonna have been deemed as not suitable for the long-term project, and a potential Kiwior-Nayef Aguerd partnership could be on the cards at West Ham. So it is hardly surprising that the Hammers have tabled a bid worth €15 million.

West Ham had an offer rejected by the Italian club in the summer. And the Serie A club might not want to risk losing the player to any of their competitors. Initial contacts have already been made and once the World Cup concludes the club will approach his entourage to determine his client’s demands.
