West Ham United are keeping a tab on Spezia defender Jakub Kiwior, who is also attracting interest from Atletico Madrid and Juventus.

As per Spanish outlet Fichajes, West Ham United are assessing their options in the transfer market and have identified Jakub Kiwior as a possible target. Juventus and Atletico Madrid are also on his tail and could launch a raid in January.

David Moyes will use the extended World Cup break to address some of the most pressing issues he faced during a turbulent first half of the season. Only four wins have not guaranteed them any positivity so far, and the West Ham United manager wants to improve the condition in the winter.

Angelo Ogbonna and Craig Dawson have aged and need to be replaced with suitable candidates. Acclimatising to the English condition is not everyone’s cup of tea, and famous players have struggled to get the ball rolling in the Premier League in the past.

Kiwior kept a clean sheet as Poland recorded a stalemate against Mexico in their first group-stage match at the FIFA World Cup 2022. The 22-year-old continues to impress on the pitch and has already alerted big clubs with his superior maturity.

Atletico Madrid are also planning to bring the 22-year-old defender to Spain. Diego Simeone is known for his defensive rigidity, and Kiwior’s potential has made him an ideal candidate for the Argentine manager.

His performance for Poland would be under severe scrutiny, and Spezia could negotiate a hefty price depending on his current status. Atletico and West Ham will be battling with Juventus, who seemingly feel this will be the right time to invest in youngsters.

A series of wins have brought back the Bianconeri to relevancy, and they could be in for a few transfers in January to further push themselves upwards in the table.

Atletico already beat Juventus in the pursuit of Rodrigo De Paul. But this time, West Ham could be a stumbling block in their way. The lure of the Premier League could be too hard to resist and the Hammers will try their heart out to get a deal done for the talented defender. Meanwhile, West Ham also have other defenders like Luizao on their radar if a move for Kiwior does not work out.
