La Liga champions Real Madrid are reportedly keen on signing Brazilian international Richarlison, valued at €100 million by Tottenham.

According to a report by Spanish publication SPORT, Richarlison features on the radar of Real Madrid. The reigning La Liga champions are considering signing the Brazilian international. And Tottenham will demand €100 million to part ways with the in-form attacker.

Richarlison has seen his stock skyrocket since moving to England half a decade ago. The 25-year-old immediately hit the ground running at Watford before moving to Everton in July 2018. And he earned the biggest move of his career by joining Tottenham Hotspur after four productive seasons with the Toffees.

The Brazilian international is yet to make his mark at Tottenham, managing only two goals and three assists in 15 outings. But Richarlison has taken the 2022 FIFA World Cup by storm, scoring two goals for Brazil against Serbia last week. One of those strikers is the early favourite to win the Goal of the Tournament. In addition, his exploits have captured the attention of Real Madrid.

Richarlison has been on Real Madrid’s radar since Carlo Ancelotti left Everton to move to the Santiago Bernabeu. The Merengues have shown interest in the player in the last two summer transfer windows. And the continued interest makes sense amid an impending succession plan for Karim Benzema.

The French international has been in the form of his life for the last four years. But Benzema is well into his thirties and approaching the final phase of his career. In addition, fitness issues have plagued the veteran striker, compelling Real Madrid to seek an alternative.

Several attackers, including Cody Gakpo, have thus emerged on Real Madrid’s radar. And Richarlison is also a viable target for Los Blancos after showing he can excel as a striker. But the Brazilian international will not come cheap, with Tottenham likely to demand €100 million for him.

The north Londoners only signed the 25-year-old this past summer. So they will unlikely be open to losing him next year. But it will be interesting to see if Real Madrid will be ready to test Tottenham’s resolve by submitting a bid worth €100 million for the Brazilian international.
