Bayern Munich joins the chase for Declan Rice, as the Bundesliga giants see the influential midfielder as a great addition to their team.

According to Fichajes, Bayern Munich have entered the race for Declan Rice despite serious interest from Premier League giants. The England international seems destined to leave West Ham United next summer. The London side expects offers of more than £100 million.

Declan Rice has proven his mettle in English football over the last few seasons and developed into one of the most influential midfielders in the country. He remains one of the coveted players for next summer, as clubs could queue up for his signature.

Chelsea are among those heavily linked with a move. Rice graduated from the Blues’ Cobham academy, and the Stamford Bridge outfit remains the favourites to re-sign him. They are willing to pay huge sums to land the midfielder and another English talent Jude Bellingham.

New owner Todd Boehly is adamant about bringing these players as part of his exciting project since buying the club in the summer. However, many other Premier League sides are vying for the West Ham star’s signature. The London club expects offers of over £100 million in the close season.

Now, Bayern Munich have reportedly entered the chase for the midfielder. The Bavarians are keen on building a world-class, global team and keeping their status as one of the most dangerous squads intact. They are already eyeing several stars from the Premier League. Those include Son Heung-min and Harry Kane while holding an interest in many others.

In the case of Rice, Bayern wants the midfielder to take centre stage alongside Joshua Kimmich for years to come. They have a few problems with Leon Goretzka and Ryan Gravenberch, as they have not cemented their team positions.

Bayern are reportedly willing to pay the right asking price for Rice, which may be beyond the £100 million mark. The Bavarians seem to have the required funds to make big deals, but it will be tough to lure Rice out of the Premier League.

For now, it’s safe to assume Rice would sign for one of the top Premier League sides, including Chelsea or Liverpool. Bayern’s interest could boost West Ham’s bid to extract the best possible value for their prized asset.
