Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Brazilian midfielder Danilo during the January transfer window.

According to a report from ESPN, Danilo is on Arsenal’s radar. And the Palmeiras midfielder could be available for a fee of just €24 million as Mikel Arteta looks to bolster his squad’s midfield unit.

The Gunners tried to sign the Brazilian youngster during the summer transfer window. But Palmeiras were not willing to discuss a move for the talented young central midfielder back then. However, Arsenal have reignited their pursuit in the last few weeks.

It seems that the Brazilian club’s stance has changed over the last few months, and it will be interesting to see if the Gunners can pull off the move when the transfer window reopens in January.

Arsenal are currently on top of the Premier League table, and they should look to strengthen the squad in January to sustain the title challenge. The north Londoners are currently lacking in depth in the midfield, and they have had to rely on Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey in most games.

Arteta needs to add more bodies to his midfield to rotate the players and keep them fresh throughout the season. Danilo is highly rated in Brazil, and he has a big future ahead of him. And a move to Arsenal would be a step up in his career, and it will help him develop further.

Playing alongside better players at Arsenal will only accelerate his development and working with a quality manager like Arteta will help him improve. The Arsenal manager has done well to nurture talented young players at the club, and he could have a similar positive impact on Danilo as well.

The opportunity to join a top Premier League club like Arsenal could be a tempting proposition for the youngster, and he is likely to be keen on the transfer if there is a concrete offer on the table. Recent reports have claimed that Arsenal are closing in on signing him. And at a price of €24 million, the Brazilian midfielder is an enticing prospect.

The Gunners have already had discussions with the Brazilian club regarding a potential move, and they will face competition from AS Monaco and Ajax for the player. It remains to be seen whether Arsenal can fend off the competition from the two European clubs and secure Danilo’s services in January.
