Arsenal could scout FC Dallas and USMNT forward Jesus Ferreira at the World Cup as Mikel Arteta continues to search for precocious talents.

According to Give Me Sport, Arsenal are interested in Jesus Ferreira, and they will likely scout the USMNT forward in Qatar. The 21-year-old World Cup-bound striker is one of the MLS stars the Gunners are looking at as Mikel Arteta seeks to add young talents to his squad.

Arsenal are in the market for some widely-acclaimed talents, specifically with the MLS market on their minds. While Mikel Arteta is keen to bring a few established players to slot right into the squad, he also wants unpolished stars that could develop into huge assets.

European clubs have taken to American talents quite nicely recently, with many players from the US excelling in the continent. Juventus, Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea, and Leeds United have benefitted from USMNT stars. Also, Arsenal boast Matt Turner, signed in the summer, but he has yet to show his talents at the Emirates properly.

Apart from USMNT internationals, Arsenal are also chasing Orlando City attacker Facundo Torres, and a move could materialise in January for the Colombian. They are now keen on signing FC Dallas star and 21-year-old World Cup-bound striker Jesus Ferreira.

The striker has proved his efficiency in front of goal this season for the MLS outfit. A tally of 18 goals from 38 appearances in all competitions earned the forward a place in the World Cup squad bound for Qatar. While he did not play any part in the opener against Wales, Ferreira could expect sufficient game time during the tournament.

Arsenal are reportedly watching the young striker, who is among the players they are currently scouting during the World Cup. Torres is one of them, and so is Ferreira. Arteta is in the market for attacking talents and could eye the Dallas star as a developmental prospect to arrive and thrive in north London.

Dallas have plenty of time on their hands with Ferreira’s contract and could demand a significant fee from the Gunners if the interest is serious. For now, Arsenal have set their sights on the 21-year-old World Cup-bound striker.
