Real Madrid will not pay €150 million to sign Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham, a target for Liverpool.

According to a report from SPORT, Real Madrid are keen on signing Jude Bellingham, a target for Liverpool. But they are unwilling to meet the English international’s €150 million price tag.

Bellingham has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs, and Liverpool are thought to be keen on securing his services at the end of the season. The 19-year-old is widely regarded as one of the best young talents in world football, and he has the potential to develop into a world-class footballer with experience and coaching.

A move to a club like Liverpool or Real Madrid could accelerate his development. And world-class managers like Carlo Ancelotti and Jurgen Klopp could help him fulfil his tremendous potential.

There is no doubt that Bellingham is already one of the best midfielders around Europe. But the reported €150 million price tag seems absurd for a player who is yet to prove himself at the highest level.

There is no doubt that the 19-year-old might go on to justify the outlay in the long run. But it will be highly unlikely if any of his suitors are willing to fork out that kind of money for him at the end of the season. And according to the report, Real Madrid will definitely not shell out €150 million on Bellingham.

The English international has proven himself in Germany, and he might be keen on a new adventure at the end of the season. It will be interesting to see if he decides to move to the Premier League or La Liga in the summer.

Real Madrid could certainly use someone like him, especially with players like Luka Modric and Toni Kroos in their twilight years. The Spanish club have already signed players like Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga to boost their future prospects, and Bellingham would be another sensational long-term addition for them.

It remains to be seen whether Dortmund are willing to scale down their demands and agree on a more reasonable fee for the player when the summer transfer window opens. Meanwhile, Liverpool will also be eager to invest in someone like Bellingham. But the Reds’ financial situation might deter them from competing with Real Madrid.
