Major League Soccer club Inter Miami will try to swoop in for Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo in the January transfer window.

According to The Sun, Inter Miami could try to end the crisis of Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United crisis. The Major League Soccer outfit are very interested in welcoming the player to the United States of America. And the two parties have already initiated discussions over a possible move.

The Major League Soccer has been a happy hunting ground for top players in the latter stages of their careers. Cristiano Ronaldo’s Real Madrid teammate Gareth Bale, too, recently went on to join Los Angeles FC and has already lifted two trophies with the club.

Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham happens to have a good relationship with Ronaldo and has already approached his entourage over a potential deal. Despite the salary cap, the MLS allows the teams to invest significantly in a “Marquee” player. And Ronaldo could continue to lead his lavish lifestyle with the wages he will earn should he decide to step on the American soil.

Manchester United are contemplating tearing down his current contract following his explosive interview with Piers Morgan. Among other things, Ronaldo slammed Erik ten Hag for disrespecting him. The 37-year-old might have taken the wrong route to force his departure from the club, but the dust is yet to be settled.

The Red Devils will not rush to a decision and will take all the necessary precautions before concluding their final judgement. MLS is regarded as the retirement league as their large pay packages have been the main reason behind their recent upturn in fortunes.

Ronaldo’s arrival could change the scene of the MLS as his financial viability is still strong and the league could expect a rise in footfall and TV viewership. His signing could send a signal to top players who want to end their careers on a high note. For now, he has begun talks to discuss a possible departure from Manchester United to Miami.

Meanwhile, Manchester United seem to be planning for life after Ronaldo, with Kylian Mbappe on their radar. As for the player, it will be interesting to see where his career takes him when he leaves Manchester United next year.
