Paris Saint-Germain might still be interested in pursuing a move for Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo.

According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, Paris Saint-Germain can come back with an offer for Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese international is expected to be stripped of his current status at Manchester United following his explosive interview with Piers Morgan.

Ronaldo was linked with a possible move away from Manchester United in the summer. The Portuguese attacker shared his intentions to leave the club for a team playing in the UEFA Champions League football.

His agent Jorge Mendes offered him to a number of clubs. But no one was ready to bear Ronaldo’s enormous salary, and he eventually went on to remain at Old Trafford.

Ronaldo’s inability to complete the pre-season campaign with Manchester United has had a major effect on his performance. He was not in great shape at the start of the season and only played a bit part role as Erik ten Hag opted to use Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial through the middle.

The French giants provided Kylian Mbappe with one of the most lucrative contracts in the history of world football and also handed massive payoffs to players like Sergio Ramos and Lionel Messi.

The prospect of Messi and Ronaldo playing together could be outrageous, and PSG could cash in on this opportunity. Manchester United will likely demand a meagre transfer fee to part ways with Ronaldo, as his departure will free a lot of wages.
