Manchester City keeping tabs on Endrick

Endrick has been linked with European clubs in recent months, with Manchester City and Real Madrid reportedly keeping tabs on him.

According to a report from ESPN, Real Madrid and Manchester City have sent representatives to watch Endrick in action.

Endrick is tipped to develop into a world-class midfielder and has a release clause of €60 million. A club like Manchester City should have no problems paying that kind of money for a prodigious talent. It remains to be seen whether they can fend off competition from Real Madrid, who are in the chase as well.

Endrick is highly rated by Palmeiras, and the Brazilian outfit believes that the 16-year-old needs to develop further and establish himself as a first-team regular for them before making a move to Europe.

The youngster is yet to cement his place in the club’s starting lineup and a move to Europe might be too soon for him. Although, he cannot move to Europe before he turns 18 anyway. The report adds that Manchester City and Real Madrid are in dialogue with Palmeiras regarding a potential move.

It will be interesting to see if they come forward with a concrete bid in the coming months. Recent reports have claimed that Real Madrid might be the front-runners in his chase, with the player keen on joining them.

Manchester City have signed talented players like Gabriel Jesus and Julian Alvarez from South American clubs, and those deals have worked out well for them. Endrick could be another success story if he joins them.

Pep Guardiola has done a stellar job when it comes to developing young players like Phil Foden, and he could do wonders with Endrick as well. The Brazilian wonderkid has three goals and an assist in five appearances for the Brazilian club this season, and he can operate anywhere across the front three. His versatility will be an added bonus for any club he joins.

However, he will need to decide on his next move very carefully. Endrick cannot afford to join a club where he won’t get ample game time. Sitting on the bench at a top club could halt his development and destroy his confidence.

Manchester City would struggle to give Endrick regular playing time ahead of Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez. Perhaps staying at Palmeiras is the best option for him at this stage of his career.
