Chelsea to demand €35 million for Armando Broja amid AC Milan interest

Chelsea vs FC Noah: Preview and Prediction.

Chelsea have reportedly set a €35 million price tag on Armando Broja amid interest from AC Milan in the young Albanian striker.

According to Calciomercato, AC Milan have received positive news regarding Armando Broja, with Chelsea reportedly considering their interest. The Blues value the young Albanian striker at €35 million. And other movements at the club could let them consider a sale.

Former Arsenal CEO Ivan Gazidis, now at AC Milan, has embarked on a different project to help the Italian champions to rise again among the elites. After winning the Serie A title last season, the executive knows the importance of building a sustainable long-term project.

They have done admirably well in bringing in young players like Charles De Ketelaere. They are also progressing in contract talks with stars like Ismael Bennacer, Rafael Leao and Pierre Kalulu. But there could be a need for more reinforcements. The striker’s position concerns Gazidis and Stefano Pioli, and AC Milan are keen on Armando Broja.

They did sign Divock Origi on a free transfer in the summer, but the Belgian is yet to properly settle at San Siro. Moreover, there are concerns about the long-term prospects of ageing forwards such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Olivier Giroud. Additionally, Ante Rebic’s recent injury record has been terrible. Hence the need for a new frontman seems vital.

Milan were interested in Broja during the summer but chose to divert their funds towards De Ketelaere and sign Origi on a Bosman deal. The Serie A giants retain an interest in the young Chelsea striker and could approach either in January or next summer.

Chelsea reportedly value Broja at €35 million. It is quite puzzling, considering the young striker committed to a new six-year deal only months ago.

Broja finds himself behind the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Kai Havertz in the pecking order. Any further arrival in the position could see him consider his options and possibly move away. Chelsea are reportedly looking at Jonathan David, and the Canadian’s arrival could signal the end for the young Albanian striker.

Milan are reportedly in contact over a potential deal. And a move to Serie A could help him prosper in his career. Whether Milan come through with an offer in January or summer remains to be seen. However, if Broja does not get enough game time, he will be forced to switch clubs.
