Liverpool have identified Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes as a potential target who has also been chased by Real Madrid and Chelsea.
As per TNTsports, Liverpool have the desire to snatch Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle United who has also been on the radar of Chelsea and Real Madrid. Since his arrival at Newcastle, The Brazilian has been in ravishing form and his immaculate display has triggered his suitors.
When he arrived from Lyon nobody would have thought he would have a such long-lasting impact at Newcastle as the Magpies are now pushing for the top four having struggled with the relegation battle not so long ago.
They flirted with the drop zone last season but the arrival of Howe coincided with the signature of the midfielder a few months later which changed the whole scenario thereafter.
This season too, the juggernaut hasn’t been stopped and they are currently fourth in the Premier League table. Chelsea have prioritised the signing of a midfielder since both Jorginho and N’Golo Kante will be out of contract next season.
Despite being a defensive midfielder his ability to add more value to the attacking phase has been pretty commendable and Graham Potter would love to have a player of his quality at his disposal.
Liverpool also will feel the need for a midfielder to strengthen their ranks. The likes of Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have struggled to do justice to their role while Thiago’s persistent injury problems have put a big question mark on Jurgen Klopp’s plans.
They are planning to invest significantly in a midfielder and Guimaraes fits the bill perfectly. But Newcastle would be looking for a significant profit over the £38m they paid to Lyon for his service and should an opportunity arise Liverpool might have to break the bank to fund the transfer.
Real Madrid are also waiting in the wings for his service and want the player to fill in the boots of Casemiro who left the club to join Manchester United. They have one of the best midfielder departments in Europe. But this could be the last season for Luka Modric in the Madrid colours while Toni Kroos also has hit the pinnacle of his career and might need a breather.
