Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly keen on signing Manchester City striker Erling Haaland, a target for Real Madrid.

According to a report by Spanish publication AS, Erling Haaland could leave Manchester City in 2024 if a foreign club activates his €180 million release clause. And the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and PSG are all keen on signing him.

The 22-year-old joined Manchester City earlier this summer, and he has been exceptional for them across all competitions. The highly-rated striker has already breached the 20-goal mark for the season and is on course for a record-breaking debut season in English football.

It is no surprise that the top clubs around Europe are looking to secure his services in the near future. And Real Madrid are one such suitor, having been linked with him consistently.

Recent reports have claimed that the player has a €200 million release clause inserted into his contract which will come into effect in the summer of 2024. However, the catch is that only foreign teams can trigger the clause.

Now AS have added to the report, claiming that the release clause is €180 million and can be activated by any foreign club. A player of his calibre can certainly justify the reported €180 million release clause, or even if it is worth €200 million.

Real Madrid need to secure a long-term replacement for French international striker Karim Benzema, and Haaland seems like the ideal long-term solution. Meanwhile, Barcelona and PSG will look to sign the player as well.

Barcelona will have to plan for a future after Robert Lewandowski, and Haaland certainly fits the bill. PSG have no shortage of resources, and they will need a top-class attacker when Lionel Messi decide to move on. In addition, Kylian Mbappe’s uncertain future might also prompt PSG to pursue Haaland.

Haaland will be determined to prove his quality in England and win major trophies with Manchester City. However, there is no doubt the chance to join a club like Barcelona, Real Madrid or PSG will be attractive for the player. It will be interesting to see where he ends up eventually.

Why would Haaland leave the best club side in the world, a team he supports to join any of these clubs ?
Barcelona a club with massive debts and no future .
PSG play in a farmers league.
Madrid will most likely sign bug head Mbappe
so doubt Haaland will want to be managed by him.
He will be an all time great and best in the world at City
