Premier League heavyweights Liverpool and Chelsea are interested in Dundee United sensation Alan Domeracki.

According to The Daily Record, English giants Liverpool and Chelsea are interested in making a move for Dundee United’s 19-year-old sensation Alan Domeracki.

The youngster signed a professional contract earlier this year and is one of the best young players in the Scottish league. Having come through the ranks at the Scottish FA’s performance school performance.

Described as a midfielder who is not just technically strong but is also intelligent enough to make good use of the football. Capable of playing both a deeper role and a creative one as well, Domeracki has the raw minerals to develop into an all-action player.

This augurs well for both Liverpool and Chelsea, both of who need to revamp their midfield. The Reds have the ageing Jordan Henderson and James Milner still garnering regular minutes while Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain continue to struggle with injuries. Fabinho appears to be burnt out while Thiago Alcantara is not getting any younger.

The same can be said of Chelsea, who could see Jorginho and N’Golo Kante walk away as free agents come next summer. Domeracki, while making up the numbers on paper is unlikely to be ready for the rigours of the Premier League. It could all depend on how his talents are developed over the next couple of years to ensure he is ready to take on the top-flight challenge.

Liverpool have historically raided Scotland for top talent and currently have the Scottish skipper, Andy Robertson in their ranks. They brought in Calvin Ramsay and Ben Doak last summer and would welcome the chance to add Domeracki to that list. With the likes of Harvey Elliott, Ibrahima Konate and Fabio Carvalho in their ranks, youth appears to be the flavour of Jurgen Klopp’s imminent rebuild.

The Blues too are in a similar boat and were generous in their outlay to bring in young talent last summer. Gabriel Slolina, Carney Chukwuemeka and Cesare Casadei were a few players who moved to Stamford Bridge and could don the Blue jersey in the years to come.

Whether he ends up moving to Liverpool, Chelsea or elsewhere, Domeracki certainly has what it takes to succeed at the top level. As long as he continues to impress at Dundee United, there should be no shortage of suitors for when the time comes for him to leave.
